The Two Bridges Park is located in Marina di Altidona, behind the coastal strip and near the Aso River. Available sources describe it as a large green area with meadows and trees, connected by cycling paths both to the coast and inland towards Lake Azzurro. It is designated as a space for play, leisure, and outdoor activities, with children’s play equipment present.
The park also hosts events and concerts, including musical appointments of the Wondergate Festival.
Marina di Altidona is located along the SS16 Adriatica road. It can be reached by car from the A14 motorway, taking the Pedaso exit and continuing north along the SS16.
The nearest railway station is Pedaso, on the Adriatic railway line. From there, Marina di Altidona can be reached by local bus connections or by taxi.
Parking areas are available in Marina di Altidona near the seafront and main services. In summer or during events, it is advisable to check local signs and any temporary restrictions.
Architectural jewel of the 19th century, the Theater of Porto San Giorgio was completed in 1817 based on a design by architect Giuseppe Locatelli. The Roman Cisterns of Fermo, built between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, represent one of the largest and best-preserved underground complexes in the world. Unique in Italy for their size, these extraordinary "liming pools" extend over an area of about 2,200 square meters beneath the historic center.
The two city gates marked the entrances to the village from the north and south. Porta da Bora, rebuilt during the Renaissance and later incorporated into the surrounding homes, has preserved its original function as an access point to the town over time. Porta da Sole, built in the early 11th century, represented the main access to the Campofilone castle throughout the Early Middle Ages.
