The Antique and Craft Fair brings life to the center of Fermo every Thursday in July and August. Since 1983, it has accompanied the summer with vintage items, handcrafted creations, and evening strolls through squares and streets. Access: free entry.

Piazza del Popolo is located in the heart of Fermo’s historic centre. If arriving by car, take the A14 motorway and exit at Fermo–Porto San Giorgio, then follow signs for Fermo town centre. Alternatively, take the SS16 Adriatica road and continue uphill towards the historic centre.
The reference railway station is Porto San Giorgio–Fermo, connected with the main towns and cities along the Adriatic railway line. From the station, Fermo town centre can be reached by shuttle bus or local transport connections.
To visit Piazza del Popolo, it is advisable to use the parking areas serving the historic centre, such as Girfalco car park, Station car park or Cathedral car park. A Limited Traffic Zone is active in the historic centre, so always check local signs and any access restrictions.
The Mid-Summer Festival enlivens Marina di Altidona every August 10th, from dawn until night. Local businesses and associations offer music, shows, entertainment, and culinary experiences for residents, families, and tourists on vacation.
Fairy Tales and Stars brings free theatre shows for children and families to Piazza del Popolo. Part of Marameo Festival, Italy’s great celebration of children’s theatre, it offers summer evenings to share wonder in central Fermo.
The Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition brings young talents from around the world to Teatro dell’Aquila. Since 1994 it has celebrated classical music and Fermo’s cultural tradition, with the next event scheduled for May 30, 2026.
